Saturday afternoon saw Dawnheights A take on Flipside in a T20 game at Gledhow. Dawnheights batted first with Shubham Choudhary and Raj Verma opened proceedings. Shubham’s aggressive batting saw Raj playing a support role as Shubham race past his half century. With the boundaries flowing of his bat, he brought up his 50 in the 4th over. Dawnheights reached their 100 in the 7th over and soon thereafter Shubham brought up his century. Raj was out on 35, that also brought to an close a new opening partnership record on 186. After their allotted 20 overs, Dawnheights finished on 235 for the loss of 5 wickets and Shubham remained unbeaten on 154.  P Dhaver was the most successful of Flipside bowler’s with 4 wickets.  In their reply, Flipside lost wickets at regular intervals in their pursuit of the mammoth total and were awarded 60 penalty runs due to slow over rate from Dawnheights. The addition of the penalty runs saw Flipside end on 147 runs.  Shubham was in fine form with the ball as he ended with 3 wickets to top of a match winning performance.
