Dawnheights travelled to phoenix to take on East Coast. Dawnheights lost the toss and were asked to bowl. The decision to bat first on a slightly damp and uneven pitch backfired on the hosts as Comfort soon got the opening batsmen caught in the covers with the ball holding off the pitch. Comfort took 2 more wickets in his opening spell of 5 overs. Powerplay 2 saw the introduction of Raj Verma and Captain Shubham Choudhary. Off spinner Raj kept it tight and this allowed the leg spinner, Shubham to attack. A spectacular diving, 1 handed catch at slip by Raj gave Shubham his 1st. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals to Shubham who took his 5th with a half tracker which was bunted back to him for a caught and bowled. With the score on 110/9, Avishkar was brought on and he closed the innings with his third baĺl. This left Dawnheights a tricky 10 overs to negotiate before lunch. Captain and vice captain took the responsibility of getting through the tricky period going into lunch at 21/0. 16 year old Suveer Dewllal was earlier appointed vice captain. This  only emphasises Dawnheights’s responsibility to promoting cricket amongst the youth. Shubham started aggressively after lunch by dispatching the 1st 2 balls over the boundary. Shubham continued his good form and reached his 50 with a well executed pull shot. It was left to stalwarts Raj and Comfort to close out the innings with loss of 4 wickets for another bonus point victory.
