Kalia powers Dawnheights to victory
Morningside were inserted and made a cautious but steady start. The loss of their opener saw Preshen Rampersad stride to the crease and immediately stamped his authority on the game putting the Dawnheights bowlers to the sword. Big hitting coupled with the small boundary resulted in the scoreboard rattling along at a healthy rate and Preshen fell to the veteran Nikilesh Misra. Thereafte wickets fell at a regular rate. Morningside closed their allotted 20 overs on a respectable 172. Dawnheights got off to a disastrous start with a wicket of the 1st ball. Thereafter wickets continued to fall. Captain Comfort Shange brought some much required stability to the innings with Ishan Kalia. The depature of Comfort (51) saw Nikilesh Misra join Ishan Kalia who continued attacking the bowlers. Ishan ended on 72 not out (8 huge sixes). Misra fell 2 runs short of the total. DCC won the match with 3 overs to spare.
