Raj and Dlamini keeps Dawnheights on the winning path
Chatsworth won the toss on a cloudy day with drizzle on and off at Gledhow and elected to bat. A cautious and steady start by opening pair put on a 50 run opening partnership. The opening bowlers bowled well with no reward with a few good shots sprinkled in. Change bowler Ishan Kalia was brought into the attack and broke the partnership, Wickets fell at regular intervals with Ishan finishing with 2 scalps. Part time bowler Dlamini, the stand out bowler, dutifully brought the innings to a close taking his 4th scalp thereby ensuring DCC were to chase 142 to win. DCC openers started cautiously. The loss of Lucky brought youngster Suveer Hanuman who batted well and was unluckily run out with the score at 60/3. Raj Verma then joined Dlamini and batted positively putting bad balls away with ease. Dlamini fell on 38 and that brought Ishan to the crease. Raj then stamped his authority on the game together with Ishaan (25*) and with a few runs to go brought up his graceful, well timed half century. The winning runs were left to Ishaan thereby giving DCC a win by 7 wickets.
